Bekevar Wind L.P. is proposing to develop, construct and operate a wind power project of approximately 35 to 40 turbines planned to be located in the RMs of Hazelwood and Kingsley, as well as on a few parcels of Cowessess First Nation reserve land. The Project would include turbines, access roads, underground cabling and a substation. The turbines would be dispersed on the windy areas of the project area, where the land is suitable and where the environmental and social impact are minimised. A project of this size can power more than 90,000 Saskatchewan homes.
