This year’s public information program will continue waste reduction public outreach services including technical assistance and information oriented to the business community, workshops and printed information on home composting, packaging reduction, and materials (reuse) exchange. The work plan for this fiscal year includes a report, to come to your Board in September, on the level of compliance with the County’s Environmentally Preferable Packaging Ordinance, County Code Chapter 7.28, based on a survey of food service businesses that has been conducted this month.
