The agreements on unique coding of medical devices have been established in a working group under the auspices of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. The parties concerned aim to have the unique coding of medical devices implemented in the Netherlands as soon as possible and further expansion will then be carried out in a phased approach.
