Fund-raising is an integral part of the role of the support organizations in our school community. In an era of scarce resources, those organizations provide funding to expand and enrich the educational and activity program beyond what can be provided by district dollars. Their efforts benefit children in a direct and meaningful way. In addition, fund raising activities bring the members of our organizations together in a cooperative effort that pays other dividends in the arenas of leadership development and community building. The intent of this agreement is to maximize the benefits to our children of these efforts and minimize the negatives associated with fund raising. This voluntary agreement is intended to be but a start of a continuous conversation about how best to support our students and programs while being sensitive to the effect on our community.
