It is the belief of the Huron Intermediate School District that: The individual use of the iPad is a way to empower students to maximize their full potential and to prepare them for greater independence, college or the workplace. For some students, the iPad provides them with a means to interact and communicate with their school community as well as their family in the home setting. The result is increased learning from the continuous dynamic interaction with the iPad among students, educators, parents, and the extended community. Technology immersion does not diminish the role of the teacher. To the contrary, it transforms the teacher from a learning director to a facilitator of learning which continues beyond the school day.
