The (Public Entity/Owner, hereinafter referred to as “Owner”), is committed to securing the best value for public construction funds, and to putting such funds to work for the benefit and improved general welfare of residents of the community, and in particular, community members in focus categories such as military veterans, members of the National Guard and reservists; adults skilled in the construction trades; young people and unskilled adults, socially and economically disadvantaged members of the community; and individuals facing reentry into the community after leaving a State of Alaska correctional facility. The Building and Construction Trades Council of South Central Alaska is committed to preserving work traditionally performed by community members represented by the Council and its member organizations, and to creating employment opportunities for such individuals as well as for community members in the Owner’s priority categories.
