The County contracts with an independent CPA firm to perform mandated audits of the County’s financial statements and the Single Audit of all federally funded activities, Redevelopment Agency, Sanitation District, Treasury Compliance, and audits of all state grant programs including the HRA Child Development Program, Office of Criminal Justice Planning, Department of Insurance, Department of Justice grants. The CPA firm of Bartig, Basler Ray, CPAs, Inc. (BBR) was selected through a competitive bidding process, and was recommended for approval by the County’s Audit Committee. BBR previously conducted the County’s external audits for the fiscal years ending June 30, 1995 through 1998, and staff was pleased with the quality of their work.
