This Annex shall be for the purpose of performing tests, analyses, and reviews of high temperature components in high-fidelity environments at NASA MSFC. The Compact Fuel Element Environmental Test (CFEET) facility in building 4602, and the Nuclear Thermal Reactor Element Environmental Simulator (NTREES) facility in building 4205, will provide the environments needed to assess the suitability of propulsion components for long-duration space missions. These activities are authorized under a development program funded by the Defense Research and Development Agency (DARPA), and executed by the partner, General Atomics Electro-Magnetic Systems (GA-EMS).
