Uganda is one of the regions served under the AMREF Flying Doctors (AFD) Maisha covers, and has always been one of the markets that the Maisha cover seeks to serve. The country has a reported population of about 48 Million people, with the current health system not adequately equipped to sufficiently handle all the medical conditions in the country. In this case AFD services will come in handy to complement the already existing medical infrastructure in Uganda, especially where urgent medical evacuation is required or where more specialized medical infrastructure is needed.
