As you may be aware, following an extensive process, the Secretary for Education and NZEI Te Riu Roa agreed that the remuneration of teacher aides was affected by sex-based undervaluation. They therefore reached agreement on the appropriate remuneration package for teacher aides that corrects this undervaluation and reflects pay equity.
