traditional tenets or teachings of a bona fide religion, body or sect which has historically held conscientious objections to joining or financially supporting labor organizations, shall not be required to continue membership in or financial support of the Union; except that such hospitalist shall contribute an amount equivalent to the Union dues to a nonreligious, tax-exempt charitable fund of his/her choice for the duration of the membership or payment requirements had they been applicable. Proof of contribution shall be supplied by the member to the Union in a timely fashion.
