The 2014 Florida Legislature has allocated funding for School Districts across the state for Administrator Professional Development. Districts were required to submit a plan of action outlining strategic initiatives to develop instructional leaders at the District and school level. The Office of Professional Learning and Development received and tentatively accepted a proposal from Cambridge Education, LLC, to build on leadership development initiatives enacted this past year. Pending approval and award of the State of Florida Department of Education grant funding, Brevard County Public Schools would like to further develop the instructional leadership skills of 16 District leaders and curriculum and instructional specialists. Through an in- depth review of the key aspects of their role in relation to school improvement, participants will engage in guided practice to establish a common approach, develop LEA collaborative structures creating an agreed set of protocols, and documentation
