Further to the letter from Nanoose First Nation (“NFN”) to RDN dated November 27, 2013; the RDN Board’s decision at their December 3, 2013 meeting to defer the scheduling of a Public Hearing; the meeting of February 19, 2014 between NFN, Fairwinds and RDN; and our subsequent discussions with NFN, we hereby request that the proposed zoning for the lands within the Lakes District referred to in the PDA as the “Notch Option to Purchase Lands” be amended to CD44-PR 1 Park Use. It is our understanding the NFN will now be supportive of the four Project Bylaws and the project generally.
