FiledOctober 4th, 2011Defining the role of cell adhesion signalling in the progression of renal cell injury and tissue damage will contribute to a better understanding of disease pathophysiology and may help in the identification of new therapeutic targets. Indeed, regulating tubular epithelial cell adhesion in general or via targeting cell adhesion-associated signalling mediators represents a novel therapeutic strategy which may reduce renal injury and prevent acute renal failure.
