This Interconnection Agreement (the "Agreement"), effective August 21, 1997 (the “Effective Date"), is entered into by and between BellSouth Telecommunications, Inc. (“BellSouth”), a Kentucky corporation, and MCImetro Access Transmission Services, Inc. (“MCIm”), a Delaware corporation, on behalf of itself and its Affiliates (individually and collectively “MCIm”), and to establish the rates, terms and conditions for interconnection, local resale, ancillary services and purchase of unbundled network elements (individually referred to as the “service" or collectively as the "services").
