The general purpose of this agreement is to establish mutually satisfactory employment relations between the employer and the employees covered by this agreement. It provides for an ongoing means of communication between the Union and the Employer for the purpose of discussing matters of mutual interest, including the promotion of operational efficiency and employee working conditions. It also provides means for the prompt settlement of grievances and for the final settlement of disputes.
