The purpose of the Agreement is to put in place an effective Strategic Partnership between Hampshire County Council (HCC) and the Isle of Wight Council (IWC), whereby Hampshire County Council will take operational responsibility for the delivery of Isle of Wight Council Children’s Services. This will apply to the full scope of children’s services as covered by the Children Act 2004 and the Statutory Guidance on the Role and Responsibilities of the Director of Children’s Services.
