A settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit against Gastroenterology Consultants, P.A. ("GCPA") relating to a cyberattack against GCPA's computer systems that occurred on or about January 10, 2021 (the "Data Incident"). The computer systems possibly affected by the Data Incident potentially contained personal and protected health information of certain individuals. The plaintiff claims that GCPA was responsible for the Data Incident and asserts claims such as negligence, negligence per se, breach of implied contract, breach offiduciary duty, intrusion upon seclusion/invasion of privacy, unjust enrichment, and violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Act. GCPA denies all ofthe claims.
