The Ministry Agreement for Readers with the Bishop’s Permission to Officiate is provided as a framework to enable the Reader and incumbent, or other supervising minister, to explore and determine the expectations for an individual’s ministry in a particular context. This is not a legally enforceable document or contract, but a voluntary code of practice which sets out boundaries and expectations, as well as identifying areas in which a Reader’s ministry can flourish. It is important, therefore that it is relevant and meaningful to each individual.
