Accommodation Information Accommodation for students will be at the Tofino Ecolodge (with no exceptions). The Ecolodge is located approximately three kilometres from downtown Tofino in a 12-acre waterfront rainforest garden. Students can expect to have a shared room, shared bathrooms, and access to a common living area and large kitchen. Rooms will be shared between two, three, or four people. There is Wi-Fi access throughout the lodge, but bandwidth is limited, so students should be prepared to limit their internet use to the essentials, especially during peak usage hours. This collaborative and cooperative style of living is part of the field school experience. Specifically, we are replicating field research conditions. Field research is often carried out in remote locations in living conditions to which students may not be accustomed. Sharing space will necessarily involve compromise, flexibility, respect, and communication.
