A newly hired Employee will be subject to a six (6) month calendar days] probationary period commencing from the date of his appointment. At the discretion of Management, the probationary period may be extended by an additional three (3) months calendar days]. Any such extension must be made in writing to the probationary Employee with a copy provided to the Association.
