He/she is responsible for the conduct of the study, obtaining subjects’ informed consent, providing necessary reports, and maintaining study documents. The Principal Investigator will be familiar with all applicable regulations governing human subjects research, and will adhere to all requirements outlined in his/her Institution’s DoD Assurance for the Protection of Human Research Subjects as granted by the DoD, and/or by the Institution’s Federalwide Assurance granted by the Office for Human Research Protections, Department of Health and Human Services, and by his/her Institution’s Human Research Protection Program.
