In 1997 your Board approved an agreement for ambulance services with American Medical Response West (AMR) for a five-year term beginning December 1, 1997 and ending November 30, 2002. This contract was amended: on November 16, 1999 to revise language dealing with excess revenues; on September 11, 2001 to change to the accrual basis of accounting, align the fiscal years of the Contractor and the agreement, and implement a Contractor's revised new employee training program; and on December 2002 to allow an extension of the termination date due to contract negotiations. The ending date of the current agreement is August 31, 2003.
