The Village has a robust street lighting system with over 3,500 streetlights that the Village owns and maintains. Each year the Village has converted existing lights to LED bulbs for cost and energy savings. Additionally, the Village continues to improve the street light network by filling gaps and installing lights at critical locations. Engineering Consultants are utilized to complete the specialized design work associated with these improvements. Staff feels that Christopher B. Burke Engineering Ltd is best equipped to accomplish this task. Christopher B. Burke Engineering has completed this work in the past and has done a great job. This program will still be overseen and managed by Village Staff. The scope of work is creating plans, specifications, and estimates, performing photometric calculations, and assisting in construction. The project locations are lighting improvements on 143rd St between Meadow Ln and Steiner Rd, 135th St & Naperville Rd Intersection, and LED conversions
