PPL Electric Utilities Corporation (“PPL Electric”) submits this Explanatory Statement in support of the enclosed Settlement Agreement and Offer of Settlement (“Settlement” or “Settlement Agreement”) that resolves the issues set for hearing in Docket No. EL20-48-000 (the “Proceeding”). The parties to the Settlement are PPL Electric, PP&L Industrial Customer Alliance (“PPLICA”),1 American Municipal Power, Inc. (“AMP”), the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission and the Pennsylvania Office of Consumer Advocate (each a “Settling Party” and all collectively, the “Settling Parties”). PPL Electric files this Explanatory Statement as the jurisdictional public utility with authority for modifying the rate schedule to effectuate the Settlement Agreement. The other Settling Parties have reviewed this Explanatory Statement and concur in its description of the Settlement.
