ALNS is a heavily oversubscribed and inclusive learning community of 1000 students (aged between 11 and 16 years old), around 140 staff and many adult volunteers (including our highly dedicated Governing Body). In April 2014, the governance of the school changed as we became an Academy ensuring our independence to focus on building our ethos and success. We also reaffirmed our commitment to continue to work in very close partnership with the Local Authority and all other local schools as we strive to provide the very best possible education for all of the children in our area of Portsmouth. We work particularly closely with Trafalgar School who are our partner school in Salterns Academy Trust.
