Following the adoption by the Committee of Permanent Correspondents of its recommendation 2012-1 on ecosystem-based disaster risk reduction, the Executive Secretariat accepted the offer of the government of Georgia to organise and fund a training workshop in Tbilisi aimed to improve awareness and practice on the field in the three Caucasus States. The workshop was also intended to develop knowledge and skill on how to integrate ecosystem management and PRR, and promote cross-sectoral and neighbors cooperation in the region.
