WHEREAS, Friends, a nonprofit corporation organized and operated under the provisions of the Georgia Nonprofit Corporation Code and subject to the limitations of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, has been designated by the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks, Recreation and Historic Sites (“Department”) as an umbrella organization acting to bring together, for common purposes, all site-related support groups and conservation organizations; and
