DISCUSSION: Marzano Research will provide a Proficiency Scale and Assessment Development Workshop. The workshop will: provide ways to organize standards into progressions of knowledge for essential topics and embed those progressions in scoring rubrics, learn to use proficiency scales to provide meaningful feedback to students and track their progress over time, understand how proficiency scales can be used to plan for and deliver instruction in classrooms and construct both formative and summative assessments that align with the proficiency scales. CONTRACT TERM: The initial contract shall commence on May 13, 2015 and continue through June 2, 2015. RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of Dr. Teresa Wright, Director of Early Childhood Education, Head Start & Title l and Dr. Pamella O’Kell, Principal of Apollo Elementary School to approve the attached agreement with Marzano Research in the amount of $6,000.00.
