This Memorandum of Understanding by and between the STATE OF IDAHO, TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT, hereinafter called the "STATE" and the REGIONAL FORESTERS of the NORTHERN REGION AND INTERMOUNTAIN REGION, UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, FOREST SERVICE, hereinafter called the "FOREST SERVICE," establishes procedures for coordinating the location, construction, maintenance signing, access, protection, and conservation of environment, control of pollution, and other matters related to the State Highway use and occupancy of National Forest System lands. Project planning and construction of Forest Highways by the Federal Highways Administration are covered by a separate Memorandum of Understanding.
