NONREIMBURSABLE SPACE ACT AGREEMENT BETWEENNonreimbursable Space Act Agreement • April 9th, 2021
Contract Type FiledApril 9th, 2021This Agreement shall be for the purpose of NASA and CWRU collaborating and sharing data to incorporate statistics, machine learning, and probabilistic modeling into the exploration of the process design space of additively manufactured Inconel 718. NASA is interested in an algorithm and framework to leverage data science and machine learning to explain the performance variability of additively manufactured alloys including Inconel 718 and elucidate the processing-structure-property-performance relationships of the materials. CWRU is interested in applying the developed technique to data it previously collected on Inconel 706. The proposed work builds on previous efforts on the development and validation of an algorithm for characterizing the nanoscale precipitates in Nickel-Aluminum (Ni-Al-Nb) alloys Digital Object Identifier (DOI): 10.1016/j.matchar.2018.12.018).
