Data collected by organizational units or individuals within the Department are collected under the authority of the Department and the stewardship and use of those data are ultimately the responsibility of the Department. The missions and purposes of organizational units within the Department and its public health partners overlap in many instances and sharing data will often help the Department to accomplish its mission.
