Observer Contract - The User’s ResponsibilityAugust 4th, 2020
(the observer) has committed to be responsible for the safety of the telescope, instrument and people. This includes (but is not limited to) closing when weather conditions are poor. The primary observer on the telescope is responsible for ensuring that other users of the telescope during their observing run also comply with the rules outlined below. If the primary observer does not stay for the complete run, they are required to tell Observing Support staff they are leaving prior to leaving the mountain. However, they are still responsible for the telescope.
