Notice Inviting Bids City of Redwood City PC Refresh – Phase I
May 11th, 2017
  • Filed
    May 11th, 2017

Due to the requirement departments budget for and replace their own endpoints, namely PCs and Laptops, the City of Redwood City (CITY) is currently operating on a variety of aged computers and operating systems as departments have not replaced their endpoints in a consistent manner. Many of these computers are out of warranty and/or end of life support. To rectify this issue, CITY has implemented a PC Refresh Project in which the budgeting and replacement of endpoints will centrally managed by Information Technology (IT). The intent is to create a common, standard computing environment with a replacement cycle of four years. We are seeking proposals from qualified bidders for the following computers, software, and services for the first year of our four-year PC refresh roll out. Dell computers were chosen after reviewing similar offerings from multiple manufactures and determining price, familiarity, support history, and add-on services were in the City’s best interest.
