As you are aware, Reclaiming Futures, an Initiative of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, has funded Santa Cruz County as one of the ten sites, nationally. Each site’s fundamental goal is to provide “more treatment, better treatment and more than treatment” to youth and families with substance abuse issues in the juvenile justice system. The purpose of this letter is to seek your Board’s approval of a contract with Mr. Jerry Tello for training and technical assistance, so that the Cara y Corazon curriculum, an example of “more than may be fully implemented in Santa Cruz County.
