Both parties recognize the importance of adapting to change, promoting productivity and employee involvement in the workplace thereby creating an environ- ment conducive to success. The purpose of this agreement is to establish and to maintain a framework of the basic terms and conditions of employment to be applied in a consistent and equitable manner to the mutual benefit and interest of all concerned.
