The College Challenge Program is a cooperative agreement between Indiana State University and participating high schools that enables high school students to earn college credit in courses taught at their local high school. The program is designed for high school students, typically juniors and seniors, who have a desire for more advanced course work. This type of agreement is often referred to as concurrent enrollment or dual credit, because credit is awarded at the high school and university simultaneously. College Challenge courses are taught by high school teachers who have been approved by Indiana State University to teach college‐level courses. College Challenge courses are conveniently taught within a typical high school setting so students do not have to attend class outside of normal school hours. A major benefit of the College Challenge Program is that courses are taught at a special, highly‐reduced, tuition rate.
