WRITTEN CLARIFICATION Sample Clauses
The Written Clarification clause establishes a process for resolving ambiguities or uncertainties in a contract by requiring that any requests for clarification be made in writing. Typically, this clause allows one party to formally seek explanation or interpretation of specific terms, and obligates the other party to respond in writing within a set timeframe. Its core function is to ensure that both parties have a clear, documented understanding of their rights and obligations, thereby reducing the risk of disputes arising from misinterpretation.
WRITTEN CLARIFICATION. If there is an ambiguity in the contract documents, Contractor shall request an interpretation from the Contract Administrator. Contractor Administrator shall issue a written clarification or interpretation. If Contractor believes that a written clarification or interpretation justifies an increase in the contract price or an extension of the contract time and the parties are unable to agree on the amount or extent thereof, Contractor may make a claim therefore.
