World Heritage Sample Clauses

The World Heritage clause establishes the parties' obligations regarding sites or properties designated as World Heritage by UNESCO. It typically requires the parties to recognize the special status of such sites and to comply with relevant international conventions or local laws protecting them. For example, if a project or activity is planned near a World Heritage site, the clause may mandate environmental assessments or restrict certain actions to prevent harm. The core function of this clause is to ensure that contractual activities do not negatively impact World Heritage sites, thereby preserving their cultural or natural value and ensuring compliance with international preservation standards.
