WORKING AND LEARNING ENVIRONMENT. 1. The Board and the Local agree that in all but exceptional circumstances all indoor school activities shall be conducted in facilities that are clean and where temperature, ventilation, lighting, humidity, sound level, and other physical conditions are hygienic and conducive to effective working and learning. 2. Where a teacher has a concern in this area, they will report that concern to the appropriate Principal or Vice Principal who will attempt to resolve the matter in the shortest reasonable time. Where the matter is not resolved to the satisfaction of the teacher, they shall have the right to ask the Local to take the concern to the Health and Safety Committee.

  • Working Environment The parties agree that a safe and clean working environment is essential in order to carry out work assignments in a satisfactory manner. The Employer commits to investigate the use of environmentally friendly products. It will be the Employer's responsibility to ensure that all working areas and employer-owned vehicles are maintained in a safe and clean condition.

  • Management of Special and Technical Environment Each certificated support person demonstrates an acceptable level of performance in managing and organizing the special materials, equipment and environment essential to the specialized programs.

  • Working and Labor Synergies The Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining a tranquil working relationship between the Contractor work force, the Contractor Parties and their work force, State employees, and any other contractors present at the work site. The Contractor shall quickly resolve all labor disputes which result from the Contractor's or Contractor Parties’ presence at the work site, or other action under their control. Labor disputes shall not be deemed to be sufficient cause to allow the Contractor to make any claim for additional compensation for cost, expenses or any other loss or damage, nor shall those disputes be deemed to be sufficient reason to relieve the Contractor from any of its obligations under the Contract.

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until they have received proper training and instruction. (b) The Employer shall provide sufficient and adequate training and/or orientation to any employee working in a new or unfamiliar work area or position.
