Work on a Holidav. If an employee works on an approved holiday, in addition to holiday pay the employee will be compensated at the rate of two (2) times his/her regular hourly rate for all hours worked on the holiday, except employees who work on a University closure holiday will be paid their base hourly rate and: A. If the employee volunteers to work, an equivalent number of hours will be assigned as vacation accrual. B. If the employee is called in with less than 24 hours' notice one-and-a-half times the number of hours worked will be assigned as vacation accrual. C. If an employee is scheduled to work with more than 24 hours' notice the number of hours worked will be assigned as vacation accrual. D. In the event that insufficient numbers of employees volunteer, the employees of the classification required who are familiar with and qualified for the work to be done with the most recent of seniority date will be required and obligated to perform such work. E. Any time worked over eight (8) hours on any given day will be paid at time-and- one-half.
