Work Elsewhere Clause Samples

The "Work Elsewhere" clause defines the conditions under which an employee or contractor may engage in employment or business activities outside of their primary role with the company. Typically, this clause outlines whether outside work is permitted, may require prior written consent from the employer, or may prohibit work with competitors or in conflicting roles. Its core practical function is to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure that the individual's external commitments do not interfere with their obligations or loyalty to the primary employer.
