Common use of WITNESSTH Clause in Contracts

WITNESSTH. It is the intention of the University and the Association in entering into this Agreement to promote good relations among the University and the Public Safety Officers (hereinafter “PSOs”) of the University represented by the Association. It is the further intent of the Association and the University to continue to work together; to provide and to maintain mutually satisfactory terms and conditions of employment; to prevent as well as to adjust misunderstandings or grievances relating to employment; and to provide that there shall be no interruption in work. Any misunderstandings as to the interpretation and application of the terms of this Agreement which arise between the University and the PSOs of the University represented by the Association, shall be resolved, adjusted and settled in accordance with the procedures set forth in this Agreement.
