WIRE METER. The Wire Meter Part Number window is displayed when the user selects the Wire Meter button on the production screen. This window shows the approximate amount of wire used for each part number and the wire stock used to make it. There are three columns of data. The first column, Cumulative Totals, indicates the cumulative total of wire used to make a given part number since the last time the Wire Meter was reset. The second column, Last Job Totals, is the approximate amount of wire used the last time the part number was run. The third column, Optimum Totals, shows the calculated optimum or minimum possible amount of wire that could have been used. The window that displays the wire stocks and totals can be scrolled using the scroll bar at the right of the box. The Clear button will clear the Wire Meter by erasing the meter file.The Print button will create a text file of the Wire Meter that can be printed on the system printer. The Done button exits from the dialog box. The units used to display wire lengths are determined by the setting of the units buttons in the Program Preferences dialog box. If inches are selected, Wire Meter displays lengths in feet, while if mm. is selected, lengths are displayed in meters.
