Wildfire Mitigation Sample Clauses

Wildfire Mitigation. The Project will incorporate principles of Firewise communities, which may include, but not be limited to: (i) the use of select building materials which are fire resistant, (ii) community design principles, such as lot vegetation management, use of landscaping materials, and suggesting fire break at perimeters, and (iii) the provision of Firewise educational material. Moreover, the Owner, at its election, may cut or remove understory growth consistent with the principles of Firewise communities to minimize the threat of wildfires.
Wildfire Mitigation. Health Equity, Sustainability, and Resiliency Guidebook will impose a private regulatory scheme on development within Brown Ranch. The Guidebook will include recommendations identified in the Increasing Wildfire Resilience at Brown Ranch report prepared by the Community Wildfire Planning Center. These strategies may include 1) incorporating design features that reduce wildfire susceptibility in the Home Ignition Zone; 2) managing open space vegetation in strategic locations to support fire suppression tactics and further support defensible space; 3) providing adequate setbacks on peripheral edges of all neighborhoods from hazardous fuels and terrain features; 4) planning for the strategic location of trail networks to support fire suppression resource access and tactics; and 5) planning for evacuation opportunities. Wildfire Mitigation. Within 180 days of the Effective Date of this Agreement, Developer and Mammoth Lakes Fire Protection District (“MLFPD”) shall enter into an agreement allowing for development of a fire break through the Snowcreek VIII property that incorporates existing roads and trails into the design. Developer shall have the final approval of the alignment and said fire break shall not prohibit or prevent future development of the site in accordance with the Master Plan. Developer is encouraged to work with the MLFPD and the Town on the future site design of the Snowcreek VIII project to address wildfire risk to the Snowcreek Projects and the community as a whole and incorporate wildfire mitigation features into the site design.
