WHMIS Legislation Clause Samples
The WHMIS Legislation clause establishes the requirement for compliance with the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) regulations in the handling, use, and storage of hazardous materials. It typically obligates parties to ensure that all hazardous products are properly labeled, that safety data sheets are provided and accessible, and that workers receive appropriate training regarding hazardous substances. This clause ensures workplace safety and legal compliance by mandating adherence to established standards for hazardous materials, thereby reducing the risk of accidents and regulatory violations.
