Warranties for Deliverable Items Clause Samples

The 'Warranties for Deliverable Items' clause sets out the guarantees that the deliverables provided under a contract will meet specified standards or requirements. Typically, this clause outlines the period during which the warranty applies, the conditions under which the deliverables may be repaired, replaced, or corrected, and any exclusions or limitations. For example, it may require that software delivered is free from defects for 90 days after acceptance, or that manufactured goods conform to agreed specifications. The core function of this clause is to protect the recipient by ensuring that deliverables are fit for their intended purpose and to provide remedies if they are not, thereby allocating risk and responsibility between the parties.
