WAR RISK CLAUSES Sample Clauses

A War Risk Clause is a contractual provision that addresses the allocation of risks and responsibilities related to war, hostilities, or similar events during the performance of a contract, often in shipping or insurance agreements. This clause typically outlines what constitutes a war risk, specifies the parties' obligations in the event of such risks, and may detail procedures for suspending or terminating the contract if war-related dangers arise. Its core practical function is to protect parties from unforeseen liabilities and disruptions caused by war, ensuring clarity and fair allocation of risk in volatile situations.
