Images can be selected and copied from the Overview work area of the VLT to the Album work area using the “Drag and Drop” feature. This will copy the files to the album- the original files remain untouched ! Deleting files from the album does not affect the original files either. Additionally, images in the Album can be sorted, the file names can be changed, comments can be added, images can be rotated, etc…. The thumbnails’ height can be individually adjusted for the Overview, Album and Magnifying Glass windows. The magnifying glass window always shows the area of the image corresponding to the position of the mouse pointer. In the Album panel, you can move and organize images in different Albums. The contents of an album or the overview window can also be printed as contact sheet. Double clicking on an image in the album will transfer you directly to the SilverFast…’s main window. This then permits you to optimize the image using all of SilverFast…’s tools. Once the desired image corrections and enhancements are chosen, you can click on the ”process“ button and the new optimized image file is saved back into the album.
