– VISITING SPECIALISTS. (i) The Health Services Manager will coordinate a range of visiting specialists to provide Health Care to Transferees on Nauru and ▇▇▇▇▇ Island. The frequency of each specialist visit will be determined by Transferee demand. (ii) The Health Services Manager will advise the Department of an identified need for a specialist to visit Nauru or ▇▇▇▇▇ Island. The advice will include all costs associated with the travel. Prior Departmental approval is required prior to the commencement of travel. – VISITING SPECIALISTS. In order to build the consensus necessary for implementation of a new certificate or diploma program, the partners found that it was important to have a CEHLS visiting specialists in Monrovia, Liberia. The partners made significantly greater progress when a visiting specialist was working in person with the CEHLS team of consultants at UL. Local Capacity Development through the Partnership: The partnership has empowered their beneficiaries to be leaders and utilized them to both teach short-term trainings and assist in department development. A prime example of this practice is the way in which the nursing fellows took leadership roles in the CPH program and the BSc Midwifery planning, respectively. After ▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’▇ departure, IU had difficulty finding another individual with the same institutional knowledge of the partnership and the status of the proposal approval. As a result, the partnership recognized the need to have multiple advocates within the institution for collaborating on new initiatives. Best Practices on Ebola Outbreak: The health environment in Liberia was extremely unpredictable in FY14 and FY15 and required flexibility while maintaining goals for project deliverables. Due to the outbreak of the Ebola virus, the MOHSW sought out the expertise of CPH students and the Biology Student Association to support the outbreak response. The CPH students were appointed “trainers of trainers” and worked with communities in Monrovia to teach local volunteers about the symptoms, transmission and prevention methods of Ebola. The “trainers of trainers” project was very successful not only because it empowered the CPH students but also because it allowed non-professional community members to spread awareness and debunk many of the dangerous misinformation about Ebola.   • Counselors A. Newly ordered file cabinets for Counselors will have locks. No Counselors shall be held accountable, unless through their own negligence, for the loss of school records unless there is a secure place for storage. B. Counselors, although generally working the same overall hours as teachers, shall be allowed to use flexible hours if it improves their service to pupils. C. The duty of maintaining school attendance records and of coordinating school transportation services shall not be assigned to Counselors. D. In furtherance of this objective, a committee shall be established consisting of three (3) members selected by the Union and three (3) members selected by the Board to review the current status of the effort. G. The Board and the Union will form a committee with three (3) members appointed by each to review the utilization and effectiveness of school counseling services and make recommendations to improve services to students. One additional task of the committee shall be to develop a counselor evaluation instrument. H. Substitutes shall be hired for counselors out for long-term illness. I.
